RESOURCES FOR OUR PARTNERS IN PHILANTHROPY

Executive Education

Inspired by The Generosity Commission’s findings, M. Gale is launching a new, interactive Executive Education Series on American Generosity. A community service for our nonprofit colleagues and friends, we aim to support the exploration of the local philanthropic landscape and how you can inspire generosity wherever you are. We're launching the series with in-person sessions in North Texas.

Philanthropy in Action Conference

We kicked off the 2025 DFW Philanthropy in Action Conference with a timely and powerful conversation about generosity in America over breakfast. Together, we discussed some of the most important challenges facing the nonprofit sector. Keynote Speaker Brenda Asare, Chair of the Giving Institute and Chief Executive Officer of Alford Group, and Moderator Laura Hutyra of M. Gale, introduced the inspiring work of The Generosity Commission, an independent project of the Giving USA Foundation. Attendees were challenged, provoked, and ultimately inspired to move beyond talk and become part of the solution. The future of our sector and the communities we serve depends on it.

Keynote Session

The session:

  • Addressed the realities we face as a nation, including the decline in the number of people who are giving and volunteering, and the impact on communities.

  • Discussed ways that the business, nonprofit, and policy sectors can respond to this decline and help increase generosity.

  • Explored the national understanding of how people are reimagining generosity in powerful and positive ways.

  • Provided space for reflection on how we can all participate in advancing this work from within our own organizations.
